Our cask design and development creates optimal cask designs by meeting customer needs while maintaining necessary strength, in addition to safety features (heat removal, sealing, shielding, subcriticality), and enhancing manufacturability, handling, and maintainability.

Transport Cask

Fresh MOX Fuel Transport Cask

We had owned and operated casks for transporting spent fuel (HZ-type casks). Since our business began, we have been accumulating expertise regarding transport casks. We are also working on the design of casks for transporting fresh MOX fuel and casks for transporting waste.

Transportable Storage Cask

We are also working on the development of transport and storage casks for the intermediate storage of spent fuel, which is currently being undertaken by domestic electric power companies.

Safety Analysis・ Licensing Procedures

We are able to conduct safety analyses of cask designs in-house using various analysis codes. Accurate evaluation of cask performance using advanced analysis technology is also utilized in design improvements and assisting customers with licensing procedures.
